The Canon 7D appears to be a realization now and only a matter of time before Canon officially announces it. The above image comes courtesy of a forum poster on DP Review.
An analysis of this image in Photoshop reveals that it is either a very good fake image or a genuine leak. It also reveals several other features, including:
- Built-in flash
- Video (via the mic holes)
- Body construction somewhere between the 50D and 5D Mark II
Additionally, one forum poster suggests that the lens attached to the camera could be the EF-S 18-55mm IS lens due to the location of the AF/MF switch.
The latest rumors suggest that the camera will be officially unveiled by Canon at a press conference on September 1, 2009.
